When the Calgary Polo Club wanted to promote their new Social Membership, I put together a strategic campaign with multiple layers. I invited a select group of influencers to become Social Membership Ambassadors, knowing they'd help get the word out. I made it official with a fashion shoot, complete with a polo game in the background. Then I pitched the story to the media, even writing one myself. Read it here.

 I've written for magazines and websites created expressly for this purpose. I've also pitched and written stories to promote my clients' business, resulting in content marketing that is actually earned editorial.

Calgary Polo Style

The editors tapped me for two articles to launch the premier issue of Polo Style Magazine, a carefully crafted piece of content marketing aimed at consumers with an affinity for luxury. In "Polo 101" I had the challenge of explaining a complicated, unfamiliar sport in a way that everyone could identify with. So, of course, I compared polo to hockey. Calgary Polo Style

The second article required in-depth historic research. Polo has deep roots in the Canadian West, but almost no information exists online. This story required visits to private libraries and interviews with old-timers in Alberta who got the pony party started. Read more on Page 39 of the digital edition
